Under the original rubber mats, the floorpans didn't look too bad. There was a little bit of rust showing and a few bubbles but they'd had some protection from a previous repaint. ![]() Fairly aggressive attacks with wire brushes, hammers and screwdrivers confirmed that they were sound. After all the loose rust and paint was removed they were treated with acid rust converter, primed with red-oxide and repainted with Hammerite gloss. This is a fairly invisible area when the car's in use, so the priority was to protect the metal rather than to give a "showroom shine". ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
